Dr. Keri Reeves

Dr. Kyle Farmer, DVM

Dr. Kyle Farmer has an undergraduate degree in Marine Biology from UNC Wilmington and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from NC State University. Shortly after graduation he moved to Washington State where he practiced Aquatic/fish medicine for a year prior to transitioning to small animal medicine. After a bit over 3 years in Washington, He and his wife Dr. Abby Farmer, moved back to coastal NC with the hopes of growing their family closer to their roots. In his spare time, Dr. Farmer enjoys kayak fishing, golfing, sampling local breweries, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Farmer places an emphasis on preventative care, communication, and providing a positive veterinary visit for the entire family.

Dr. Sunita Driehuys

Dr. Abby Farmer, DVM

Dr. Abby Farmer obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2019, after attending NC State for her Bachelor’s degree. She then moved to Washington state to join her husband, also a veterinarian, where they practiced for 2.5 years. At the start of 2022 they moved back to be closer to family and are thrilled to call NC home again! Dr. Farmer joined Pet Health of Hampstead in February 2022, and since June 2023, Drs. Abby and Kyle Farmer are practice owners of Pet Health of Hampstead- they are both excited to serve the local community with excellent veterinary medicine and compassionate care.   

Dr. Abby Farmer’s professional interests include preventative medicine, dentistry, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery. Outside of work, Dr. Farmer can be found spending time with her husband and son (born September 2022), going to the beach, and attempting to play golf! Her two cats, Sasha and Zoe, are the current furry family members, and she would love to add a Golden Retriever to the mix in the future. 

Dr. Sunita Driehuys

Dr. Marc Friedericks, DVM

Dr. Marc Friedericks earned his Bachelor of Science in wildlife biology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University. He relocated after graduation to Wisconsin to be close to his family and practiced emergency medicine in large referral hospitals in Wisconsin and later in New Jersey for ten years. He eventually transitioned from emergency medicine to general practice. He has a special interest in wound management and trauma stabilization and also enjoys endocrinology, dentistry, and general soft tissue surgery.

 Dr. Friedericks and his wife share their home with a multitude of rescue dogs and cats. In his spare time, Dr. Friedericks enjoys working on his golf game, hiking, and cooking.

 

Angela

Rick Rockwell, Practice Manager

Rick has been in the veterinary field for over 30 years. He lives in Hampstead NC with his wife who is a feline only Veterinarian in Wilmington and 2 amazing boys. He enjoys spending time with his family, being outside enjoying nature, motorcycle riding and watching his boys train and compete in Jiu-jitsu.

Tim Hayes, RVT

Tim recently moved to North Carolina from Illinois. He and his girlfriend have 3 dogs at home (beagle, basset hound, and dachshund) and love the outdoors.

Kelly Pollard, Veterinary Assistant

Kelly is a North Carolina Native. She is married to Travis Pollard and with their blended family they have 3 daughters, a son, and 3 grandbabies. They have 2 dogs, Lady and Shog. They also have a very adorable guinea pig, named Speedy, (he really isn’t that fast). Kelly grew up in Fuquay-Varina and moved to Hampstead in 2009 and absolutely LOVES this area. When she was growing up she always had a passion for loving and caring for animals. 1999 was the year she found her 1st job as a Veterinary Assistant!! This was her calling. Kelly worked from 1999-2020 working as a Veterinary Assistant. In 2020 Kelly went to get her Real-Estate License. She still wanted to work at a Vet and found a part time job available with Pet Health of Hampstead and that’s how she came here. Kelly’s hobbies are spending time with her family, beaching it, disc golf, and being outdoors.

Jessica Maglione, Veterinary Assistant

Jessica is a mother to two human kids and over nineteen fur kids. She is thankful to her husband who doesn’t question when she brings home new pet. Animals have always been her passion and working with them is a dream come true. She has two dogs, six cats, two sugar gliders, one chinchilla, eight chickens and one fish. When she isn’t at work. Jessica is with her family fishing on their boat or in her garden growing anything  she can preserve.

Maddison Mortemore, Reception/Client Service Representative

Meet Maddie. She has been with Pet Health since 2022 and enjoys getting to know all of the pets and their owners! She has two pets of her own, a two year old labradoodle Oakley, and a senior cat Hazel.  When she’s not at work, she enjoys cycling, running, and spending time outdoors.
